In the Psychic world, there is a phrase we use…….“losing your space”.
The implications, in my mind, are short-term and long-term.
You ‘lose your space’ when you allow yourself to be influenced by others Energy.
Or maybe you lost your space to the Lies you hold in your belief system.
An influence, that affects your ability to access Your own wisdom.
Others “Energy” maybe their thoughts, beliefs, emotions or expectations of you. Conscious or unconscious.
Then there are the Contracts you choose to keep….with people or certain patterns....because there is an Incentive for you.
When these energies influence……you go off-balance (spiritually) and lose your connection to your own wisdom……short-term or long-term.
When any aspect of your day or life is influenced by someone else's expectation then that place is the… 'absence of You' or your information.
How can you tell?
So…how can you tell you “lost your space”?
The obvious cases show up as confusion, doubts, feeling/acting ‘beside yourself’ or general lack of clarity.
Remember the times you knew what to say, what to do and had no doubts whatsoever?
That was You in touch with, and connected to, Your own resources.
Your wisdom or your Higher Self, If you may.
In other cases the effect of “losing your space” is long-term. You may not have a clue until much later. Weeks. Months. Years. Lifetimes?
Mechanics
From the view point of your Spiritual Anatomy, you lose access to wisdom from your Higher Self……which is represented by eight Chakra.
Among other things, your eight Chakra holds information about your “life blueprint” - experiences and lessons you have setup as Soul setup in order to…..propel your evolution.
Now the energy or information in eight Chakra influences your Crown Chakra.
Your Crown Chakra (7th) represents your Knowingness or your access to your Spiritual information……..that is uniquely You.
The energy/information in this Chakra in turn influences energy/information in other six Chakras:
-your clairvoyance, ability to see yourself and your place in the world (6th chakra),
-ability to express You (5th chakra),
-relationship with others, your relationship with you...your self-image (4th chakra),
-your ability to manifest and own your power (3rd chakra)…………and so on.
The space where others energy occupy is….... absence of You .
Freedom, then comes from clearing the energies that control You.
With this freedom comes the allowance to embody more of You.
Beliefs and Lies
A belief is something you believe to be true. True or not, it seems to work for You.
A Lie maybe defined as your Truth that has outlived it’s usefulness.
Unaware of shelf life, we maybe trying to live something that does not work for us anymore. Rather frustratingly sometimes.
To paraphrase someone, a belief is like a Boat. You might need the Boat to get to the shore.
But maybe it’s futile to carry the boat around on land, strapped to your back, just because it served you well on water?
So the real question maybe is…..are you Aware when you get ashore?
Another definition could be…..what is True for someone else may not be True for you. Hence a Lie for You.
How many times has a parent, a partner, friend, institution, a teacher imposed their belief because it really works for Them?
As well intentioned and caring as it could have been, maybe it didn’t quite resonate with You?
Contracts, your incentive
Influences can be short-term or long-term.
Maybe in peak hour traffic you found yourself rushing 10 over speed limit not able to deal with an aggressive driver who just would not get off your tail.
Maybe you said Yes when you really wanted to say No, feeling invisibly coerced by a boss or a partner.
Maybe to make them happy or fearing disapproval.
Whatever the reasons.
These are examples of short-term influence.
You ‘lose your space’ when you allow yourself to be influenced by other people’s Energy
Notice what I’m saying…… you allowed it.
Not as a blame but from a position of empowerment. Taking ownership for what you manifested in life.
To just say “other people’s energy influences you” is part of the story.
The other part is….you, the protagonist of your life. You, from a Soul-level, created the blue print for your life.
What you agree with, influences you.
What you resist, has power over you.
What has no charge for you, has no affect on you.
How many times have we secretly agreed with someone who deprecated our intellect, worth or looks………because a part of us held a negative self-image which silently concurred?
Even though intellectually we knew that was not true.
What you agree with is an contract you made, from a soul level.
An contract made to have an Experience, to propel your Soul evolution.
A contract is something you enter into because there is an incentive for you.
There are no victims.
Sometimes staying a Victim and not owning our power can be an incentive, as twisted as it sounds, because we carry a misguided or outdated belief (hence a Lie) that we cannot trust ourselves with power.
These maybe people who misused power in a past life. but there is a reason it's called Past life...it's Past.
An exasperated Psychic friend of mine, exclaimed one day “how can my brother be happy and content with a 9-5 job, two car garage and a big house with a picket fence?”
"Why do I not want the same thing? What's wrong with me? I've tried that but it only made me happy short term"
What he really wanted to do was write a book, travel all over, heal and teach.
In my mind, his brother was living in alignment with was true for him.
But that did not work for my friend.
Yet he tried, tries, because he feels that's what he is supposed to do.
That supposed to was him trying to fulfill a cultural contract that defined what success meant.
A Contract that was not in alignment with him. Though it really worked well for rest of his family.
In this case he had "lost his space" (or his connection to his wisdom) to the energy of a cultural contract which now controlled the definition of what success should look like.
There is some incentive.
Until there continues to be an incentive people dont break Contracts....though they have the Free Will to.
This can be repeated life time after life time.
On becoming More of You
An oversimplified statement of the process would be….for those seeking connection to their own wisdom, growth is akin to peeling the layers of the onion.
With each layer peeled, you lose what is not You and gain more of You.
A process that Embodies Your wisdom along the way. Embodiment, a conscious access of your wisdom.
So what is the effect of becoming more of You?
As you start clearing what is Not You and gain access to You, facets of your life built on Not You....starts to reconfigure or just fall apart.
Relationships, job, outlook on life, concepts about money….. to name some facets.
Now you can start to align with you are truly happy, content and at peace with.
But there are no short cuts. No pill you can pop. None I know off anyway.
This may require finding Tools and be willing to be self-aware...without judgment. Of oneself or others.
Ultimately, there is no Right path. The path you are attracted to is Right for You.
If you outgrow it, the next path awaits.
On the other hand trying to stick to a path when you're done, either for not wanting to look flaky or whatever reason, is like walking on land with the Boat strapped to your back.
