There are two important events this week, the winter solstice on December 21 and the celebration of Christmas on the 25th. This is one of the few times when the entire world recognizes and shares a holiday celebration and is focused on a similar event whose focus is love, birth and renewal. We can use that energy to bring love and light to a world that is open and ready for it. So this week focus your intention on peace and love for the world. Use the energy of this holiday, whose focus is on the birth of the Christ Consciousness, to bring more of that energy to humanity.
The solstice is also a powerful event this week because as it moves us closer to the solstice of 2012 it also introduces new energies and vortexes, which help close the energies of 2009 and introduce the new energies of 2010, which Archangel Uriel says will be a year of miracles and blessings. Beginning with December 21 and through the next three years we will progress more rapidly through the ascension cycle and have more examples of the separation between those who have completed their healing work and those who have not. While everyone has a choice for ascension, not everyone will take it. The solstice starts the unwinding process for us, as the human and divine either merge together or split farther apart.
It is interesting that the two global holiday celebrations, Christmas and Easter, both have to do with an event surrounding the life of Jesus Christ. One celebrates his birth and the other the death and resurrection. Jesus represented the birth of the Christ Consciousness, the new paradigm for humanity that introduced this ascension cycle. Through the centuries since his birth we have been on an ascension journey and from now to 2012 we will be on an accelerated path.
For most of us the solstice will be another day in a week whose focus is on Christmas shopping, travel, family visits and gift giving. But we know that times are different, the world has changed and so have we. This week take some time to remember the reason for the season, that Christmas is about redemption, connection and the love that exists within each of us for ourselves, each other, and our Source. Whatever holiday you celebrate, I wish you the happiest of times, the gift of your heart's desire and the blessings of abundance, peace, joy and love.
