The Healing Weekend 2010 at Secret World Wildlife Rescue, Highbridge, Somerset
The Healing Weekend 2010 at Secret World Wildlife Rescue, Somerset, is nce again getting ready to welcome friends and visitors on the 9th, 10th and 1th July. Building upon our fantastic event last year, we are pleased to say that the event is even bigger this year! What makes the event so special is that not only is it the highlight in the spiritual calendar for so many people from across the U.K., it also raises vital funds for the amazing Secret World Wildlife Rescue, the South West’s on 24 hours rescue centre.
With around 150 wonderful stalls and exhibitions, and fantastic caterers’ onsite, there really is so much to do and to enjoy. One of our visitors wrote of last year’s event, ‘ I love everything - but best is the atmosphere created by the meeting together of so many like minded people who just want to be in a warm, loving and safe environment. Also, to have the chance to meet friends old and new, knowing that everyone there is a friend. I also love the opportunity to do workshops and explore new ideas, to hear inspirational music and talks and to learn and grow. It is the highlight of my year and I feel so lucky to be able to go to this truly magical weekend!’
We have a huge array of healers, therapists and healing organisations represented onsite, for both people and animals. There are wonderful holistic goods, arts and crafts, spiritual giftware, cards, books, astrology, many kinds of readings, animal communication, spiritual art, feng shui, aura photography, health and beauty products, diet and nutrition products, clothing, world instruments, music, relaxation aids, crystals, jewellery ... the list could go on. This year, we’ve remembered our younger guests too – and we particularly want to welcome families to the event. Whilst you wander around and browse the stalls, treat yourself to some healing or therapies or attend a workshop or two, we have some wonderful children’s activities on offer to keep the children happy, from ballet dancing, to face painting, circus skills to world games, all with fully insured and CRB cleared childcare facilitated by World Jungle of Gloucester.
We are open daily from 10am to 6pm. Entrance is £5 per person per day, with under 14’s free. Entry to all workshops costs an additional £5 per day, and includes as many workshops as you wish to attend!!!! In addition, on Friday and Saturday we have two fabulous evening shows from 7pm to 10pm; a concert on Friday and Clairvoyance night on the Saturday, with some well known and well-loved friends. These will be held in our new performance marquee. Tickets are £5 for each show and can be booked in advance.
In the words of one of our visitors from Hampshire, ‘What is most important about the weekend is the beautiful people who are there and the beautiful energies, I cannot separate that from what I love about it...it is like being in a special cocoon of wonderful energy!’ Both Ron and I hope you’ll all come and experience this for yourself -- and look forward to meeting you all again very soon.
