(This communication was given to Michael and Jane as the Persian Gentleman’s Christmas present last year as they were sitting down to watch television in the evening)
The Persian Gentleman: Good evening, Michael, good evening, Jane, and a good holy blessing be upon your heads and upon your house on what is a special day – but it is not for the reason that most people think that it is special. It is the symbolism of Christmas that is special because the symbolism of Christmas is universal and applies to all men, all women, all religions and all situations because Christmas is about the descending of the Christ-Spirit into the hearts of men.
And what is the Christ-Spirit? The Christ-Spirit is that Light that comes from a higher sphere to illuminate and to educate the souls of men and women and children because the soul is not always awake. The soul in many people is like a sleeping passenger: someone who is along for the ride with the person (or the physical presence that is in charge of that soul being like the driver of the car) and the soul can slumber along from birth to middle-age and death without ever awakening. Of course the soul awakens on its return to the spirit world to some extent but it is God’s intention that the soul should awaken whilst it is on Earth. And the soul awakens by an infusion of white life-changing Light or the Christ-Light, as it is known. Much has been said these Christmas holidays about the Magi and about the star and about the Christ-child and about religion and the meaning of Christmas but, if I could sweep it all away with two hands, I would do so. I would knock all the books on the subject off the shelf and start again!
Was Jesus born? Of course he was. Was he the Messiah? He was an elevated soul; he was a soul through which the Christ-Light shone like an arc-lamp upon the people around him, upon the lands around him and ultimately around the world. And that is just one man! But he was not unique – he is just unique in that people have turned their heads away from his message and refused to become like him when they could become like him if they would accept the message of Christmas.
And the message of Christmas is: born into the darkness is a child and out of that child came God’s Light and God’s Light changed the world.
Let us consider that again. Born into the darkness was a ‘child’ (i.e. born into the darkness of the soul was a seed with potential) and out of that ‘child’ came the word of God; out of that darkness and that awakening of the soul through the ‘seed’ came the illumination, came the knowledge that the soul is part of God and that God’s word changed the world.
His word changes the world by first changing the inner world - by changing the person - and then that person goes out into the physical world and is radically different because of the way that he or she thinks and he or she acts. They don’t have to spout doctrine, they don’t have to perform miracles (they perform miracles simply by being who they are: a changed and awakened soul) and the soul is then placed in the driver’s seat rather than the physical manifestation of that soul, and once that life has changed, life can never be the same again for an illuminated soul.
So, the Christmas story can be seen as an allegory in some ways for what God wishes to happen for each soul. He wants the Christ-Light to be born within the ‘stable’ or the sparse surroundings that is within each person and then for that soul to be changed as that ‘child’ within - that seed of knowledge - grows and illuminates the soul from within. And then He wants each soul, that has been illuminated, to walk through their life changing things for people, ‘touching’ people as Jesus did, changing them as he changed them simply by being in their presence, simply by talking to them, simply by sharing love with them because the Christ-Light is addictive and the Christ-Light sparks from one soul to another to souls that are ready. And, maybe not in this lifetime, will that Christ-Light manifest within their lives, within their personalities, within their minds, but that seed is there and they can take that seed into further incarnations where inexorably it will grow within them and will lead them into illumination of the mind and illumination of the heart.
And it was his purpose, not to relieve man of ‘sin’ in the Biblical sense (i.e. that all sin is wiped out as long as you come to Jesus) but that soul did form a gateway through which Light could then be brought to the Earth to deal with the effects of the Fall. Up to that point most of the Earth had been sleeping (not in the sense of people being asleep but in the sense of what they understood spiritually) and there was a darkness upon the Earth. That is another phrase that is true: ‘There was a darkness upon the Earth’ - except in the minds and hearts of those who had been visiting and toiling to bring the souls that were dead to the voice of God out of the darkness. And this was the touchstone - here was the man who would do it; here was the man who would sacrifice all as an example, yes, but who also saw that that Light, through his sacrifice, could be brought to the Earth
So this is my little ‘gift’ to you this evening and it has amused me to hear Michael say that there has been no one around (reference to Michael complaining earlier that none of the guides had bothered to turn up to wish us a happy Christmas) and I wanted to reinforce the purpose and the message of Christmas at this time. No matter that it is not linked historically to the actual day on which the Christ was born and many of the facts are wrong or non-existent. It is a focus-point for that celebration and when people sit around as families and as friends then we can bring some Light to them but for most it is a very confusing time because the festivities are based on mammon and on materialism and not the true wonder of what this day represents.
Would that more souls would live the message of this day!
